How Equity Rank makes money

Equity Rank is funded primarily by paid subscriptions. Some articles also contain affiliate links.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a tracked link to a third-party company. If you click it and then open an account or buy a product, that company pays Equity Rank a referral fee. The price you pay is the same as it would be if you had gone to the company directly.

What we are paid for

We are paid for the referral. How the fee is calculated depends on the program. For bank accounts and other financial accounts, we are paid a set fee for that product when someone completes a signup or funds an account; the amount does not change with how much is deposited or with anything the account holder does afterward. For consumer software such as tax-filing products, we are paid a percentage of the price the customer pays the provider for the software.

Across every program, our compensation is never tied to a securities transaction. We are not paid per trade, on the size of any deposit or balance, on a share of anyone’s invested assets, on trading activity, or out of the fees anyone pays a bank or brokerage to keep an account open. No part of our compensation depends on you buying or selling any security.

What we do not do

We do not accept payment to cover a company, to say something favorable, or to remove criticism. Editorial decisions are made before any commercial conversation and are not shared with partners for approval. A partner cannot buy a better position in a comparison. We do not receive compensation tied to any security, and we do not accept payment from any company to write about its stock.

Our research product is not monetized this way

Stock scores, fair value estimates, screener results, and options analysis carry no affiliate links and no third-party compensation of any kind. Affiliate links appear only in personal-finance educational articles and on clearly labelled comparison pages about third-party financial products.

Who we work with

Equity Rank is not currently enrolled in any affiliate program. When we join one, it will be listed here within five business days, and every article carrying its links will be marked as described below.

Categories we decline

We do not participate in affiliate programs for foreign exchange or contract-for-difference trading, proprietary-trading or funded-trader offers, cryptocurrency exchanges or tokens, or any program that pays based on trading activity, on the size of a deposit or balance, on invested assets, or on a securities transaction.

Every article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure at the top of the article, before the first link, and each link is marked. If you find a link that is not disclosed, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it.
