# Classic Investor Screens

Source: https://www.equity-rank.com/screens

Four well-known rules from investing books and research papers, run every weekday against the 2,900 U.S. companies Equity Rank covers (data as of 2026-10-29). Each page shows the rule, where it comes from, its limits, and every company that meets it today.

A screen reports which companies meet a published rule today. It is not a list of stocks to own. Equity Rank has not tested whether this rule works going forward, and nothing on this page feeds our scores or lists. Studies of past data do not show how a rule will do from here, and any of these rules can trail the market for years.

- [Piotroski F-Score 8 or 9](https://www.equity-rank.com/screens/piotroski-f-score) — Nine yes/no tests of profitability, debt and efficiency. Companies passing 8 or 9. 399 companies today.
- [Price Below the Graham Number](https://www.equity-rank.com/screens/graham-number) — Benjamin Graham's ceiling price: the square root of 22.5 × earnings per share × book value per share. 433 companies today.
- [Magic Formula-Style Screen](https://www.equity-rank.com/screens/magic-formula) — Ranks companies on two things at once: a high earnings yield and a high return on capital. 1,124 companies today.
- [PEG Ratio Under 1](https://www.equity-rank.com/screens/low-peg) — Price/earnings divided by expected earnings growth. Peter Lynch's rule of thumb: under 1. 341 companies today.
- [What today's prices assume](https://www.equity-rank.com/priced-in) — the yearly cash-flow growth each large company's share price already bakes in, worked backwards from the price.
